Situation
Hairbrella had experienced tremendous growth during the summer of 2020 - as their protective headwear was in high demand during the pandemic. By November, their growth began stagnating. The brand was succeeding based on the innovative nature of it's products - but besides that they were being sold as functional headwear. We theorized that the disconnect was in not appealing to the social capital and cultural nuances of the brand.
Our Approach
We optimized on two fronts - both quantitatively and qualitatively. On the quantitative side: Drastically improved testing timeframe, adopted best practices for scaling, countered volatility through breaking up bulky campaigns into several different acquisition segments (all which could be scaled, paused, and eliminated as needed) this allowed us to manage efficiency and prevent wastage. On the qualitative side: Rewriting ads to appeal to pain points, written in language which appealed to the target audience
